You don’t have to stand tall, but you do have to stand up

Hello there kittens, it is I, your roving freedom fighter, fearless leader and hunka hunka burning love with a bag full of some bad news for you. The world is not a nice place.

This protest I attended this week and have ceased caring very much was yet another eye opener. I’ve had several of those this week. It seems like I can’t even blow my nose these days without a major revelation.

I’ve been asked about this protest a lot today. Why I went, why I bothered, and who are these shouty people anyway? I filled people in on why they are so cranky and should be asked to please go away. I’ve been watching some truly abominable p.r. campaigns for a few days now and theirs was just one of them.

These people don’t deserve a voice. They forfeited that when they waged a terror campaign. Canada threw out their ambassadors and that should have been the end of it. Nobody like a cry baby and since that is all these people are, I’m going to put a stamp on giving their cause a forum here once and for all.

The true horror is squarely on the shoulders of our government for not putting an end to this as well. They have sat passively by while a terrorist group shouts and howls and has done nothing to stop it. The Tamil Tigers will probably continue t protest and your government will continue to let them. The people you voted for who also make decisions about your lives every day couldn’t even be bothered to offer an opinion.

The mayor didn’t say a thing, the premier hasn’t said a single word about it and the prime minister has other things to do. Not a word about a terrorist organization shutting down a street, disrupting voting commuters and placing an economic strain on the businesses in the area who pay a hell of a lot of tax.

This is what your government thinks of you. All the people who live peaceful lives haven’t received an explanation on why this is being allowed to continue, and the people who are responsible for a genocide have been given a voice.

If you’ll excuse me now, I have to go throw up.

  1. “The Tamil supporters quieted down late Wednesday as police enforced noise bylaws, limiting the demonstrators’ use of loud PA systems and drums.”

… I wonder what ‘enforcement’ method they used to shut them up. Whatever it is, it should be used more often.

  2. They weren’t doing a damned thing when I was there, and those people were LOUD. I suspect the cops tickled them into submission.
